Angie & Mike Celebrate Their Waterfront Tom Ham’s Lighthouse Wedding

Angie & Mike came in from Arizona to have their (somewhat) destination wedding.  I say somewhat as they and many of their frends and family are from out of town, but they all spend a lot of time boating ouf of San Diego and Southern California.  Therefore, Tom Ham’s Lighthouse was a perfect venue for them to both hold their wedding and post-nuptial reception! The wedding ceremony was officiated by the infamous Pastor Mike out on the side patio as is common at Tom Ham’s.  Following, guests...

Virgil & Penny’s Steel Canyon Wedding

Virgil & Penelope have been awesome to work with to prepare for their BIG celebration at the Steel Canyon Golf Club in Jamul, California which turned out to be an awesome place to hold a wedding!  Since “Virge & Penny” were going all out, we had multiple planning meetings and a site visit ahead of time to review the arrangement, flow, timeline and all of the event lighting that we were bringing into the Pavilion.  It paid off! The wedding ceremony was held right across the...

Jorge & Sylvia Wedding all Lit Up at NTC

Jorge and Sylvia held their large, 300+ person wedding in the McMillin Events Center at the NTC Promenade in Liberty Station and wanted to step it up a few notches with some custom lighting to include uplighting and pinspotting for their cake.  After an onsite walk-through planning meeting, we set the details and were ready for their big day! Setup had to be done earlier in the day ~2pm and took some pictures as best as possible.  The wedding was not nearly setup and was quite bright inside...

Monet & Joe Ceremony & Celebration at Admiral Kidd Club

Joe & Monet had their combined Ceremony and Reception at Admiral Kidd Club in San Diego – one of the hostest wedding venues around due to the simplicity (though must be attached to the military) and the views of the San Diego Harbor and Downtown.  Daytime weddings usually have a different feel overall, but this one didn’t fit the mold.  Everything from the gorgeous waterfront ceremony, to the high energy wedding party introductions, to the filled dancefloor during the reception...

Kelly & Darren’s Elegant Bash at Rancho Santa Fe Inn

Kelly & Darren held their complete wedding on the beautiful grounds of the Rancho Santa Fe Inn.  In one breath you think elegance, but after meeting and planning with them for months, the word “party” kept coming closer to mind.  Everyone delivered! It was a large setup as we had four (4) areas of coverage: Ceremony on the Lawn Cocktail hour on the Patio/Terrace Dinner outside the Azalea Room w/ First Dance and Toasts Reception, Dancing & Cake inside Azalea Room In...

Barry & Tatiana Wedding at Mission Bay Hyatt

I was surprised one afternoon when I saw an old contact pop up in my phone when it rang.  It had been at least 2 or 3 years since I had spoken with him and was more surprised to learn that my friend, Barry, was planning his wedding!  Even his brother joked during the Best Man speech “it was about time!” I worked with Barry for years at Nautronix, as a Project / Systems engineer.  We both worked on the same projects which included weeks at a time oversees in places like Korea and Singapore.  I...

Nat & Elaine Celebrate 50 Years at Bernardo Winery

I have known Nat & Elaine for years as members of my Running Club so it was an extra special honor to assist them with their big day . . . they each celebrated their 50th birthday, and each within about a week of each other.  They planned an intimate gathering of the closest family and friends at the Bernardo Winery inside the Barrel Room. I assisted them in planning out the agenda, timeline and special events they wished to have, which included some speeches, a special recognition to...

Enoc & Cindy Lit up at Marina Village

Enoc and Cindy held their “holiday” weekend wedding on the Friday following Thanksgiving.  They obviously had alot to be thankful for, and their wedding was a memorable one held in the Baja Room at Marina Village.  I’ve never seen the Baja Room look so good! We provided Uplighting and a Gobo Monogram.  The gobo itself was designed by their designer and matched their “branding” throughout as it was used on their dinner menus, wedding programs and other items. The...

Jason and Amanda at La Jolla Shores Hotel

Jason and Amanda held their wedding on this gorgeous November day right on the beach at La Jolla Shores hotel.  Both Jason and Amanda were out of town couples and they decided to come to San Diego to have their November wedding.  Seeing the weather, it’s no wonder why. It was an absolutely beautiful day where the weather and rain held off and the smaller, intimate crowd had a great time from beginning to end. Our supply was highlighted by the fact that we had covered 4 areas of sound beginning...
