Shannon and Josh chose a daytime wedding in December. A bit risky? Don’t forget, we’re in San Diego so they chose correctly! After a week full of rain and cold weather, the skies broke for what turned out to be a huge contingent of Out of Town guests. It was gorgeous, and everyone was treated to a beautiful outdoor, San Diego “winter” wedding.
They held their ceremony in the Cul-de-Sac just outside of Tom Ham’s Lightouse. I’ve worked Tom Ham’s no less than 15 times, but have never worked a wedding ceremony just out front. It was actually quite nice! I had to bring out my portable power pack to provide electricity, but that’s standard supply in my kit.
Following the ceremony, guests were escorted back inside to the California Room to enjoy Cocktails and Appetizers. We then seated guests to introduce the Bridal Party, then Shannon and Josh to lead into their first dance before a delicious entree of Fish Tacos!! Shannon and her father did a planned, megamix style of Father/Daughter Dance which had the crowd mesmerized. Half way through Josh & his Mother’s Mother/Son Dance, we invited everyone out to enjoy some dancing before cutting the cake later in the afternoon!
The day was perfect – the weather was incredible and the guests were treated to a wonderful wedding celebration from start to finish! Congratulations to Shannon & Josh!!
Happy Vendors?
Remember, happy vendors are great vendors! The staff and setting of Tom Ham’s never disappoints, and it was a pleasure working with Dani Phaneuf as well (I believe for the first time). Danielle, a friend of Shannon’s helped plan and coordinate the day, and was a super big help, and pleasure to work with.
