Brenda and Jim held their wedding ceremony and reception at the beautiful Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park in San Diego. I was ecstatic when Jim let me know he was engaged to be married! Jim has been in my Running Club for years and I have gotten to know him well.
What began early on in the planning process as a “simple” gathering amongst family & friends turned into a wonderful arrangement of good food, song, dance, lighting and atmosphere – and Jim & Brenda were even surprised that we ended up extending an extra half hour since no one wanted to leave! Everyone stayed and danced to the very end, plus some!
Everything was held onsite which is one of the benefits of the Japanese Friendship Garden. The ceremony was at the Ceremonial Gates. Guests were then escorted to the Koi Pond which overlooks the canyon for Cocktails and Hor d’oeuvres. We then moved guests back to the main Plaza for dinner, dancing over the remainder of the night. Continental Catering provided a great spread of food through the entire events! ?It was great to see Paula of Rae Florae as well!
All Lit Up!
We provided the Market Lights to cover the main plaza area. They looked awesome and provided a great ambiance for dinner and dancing!
It was a large arrangement of equipment and services for us:
- Wedding Ceremony DJ/Music Services
- Cocktail Area Separate Sound System
- Reception DJ/MC Services
- Market Lights / String Lights
Kudos & Feedback (UPDATE)
Soon after finishing Brenda & Jim’s wedding, I received a nice email.
