Gangnam Style Rises to Top

Mashable reported yesterday that Psy’s “Gangnam Style” has taken the #1 most viewed YouTube video of all time, surpassing Justin Beiber’s “Baby” with over 805 million views and over 5 million likes.  I can only say that I agree 100% as it has become the most requested song at my weddings and events, and the quantity and frequency of requests has put it at the very top in the last 8+ years since I’ve been DJ’ing. In My Opinion, it’s outpaced BEP’s “I Gotta Feeling” and...

Gary & Mirna’s Hotel Del Coronado Wedding Lighting

Gary & Mirna held their magnificent wedding reception at the Hotel Del Coronado and we were asked to light it up with a large supply of golden yellow uplighting and a custom gobo monogram featuring their names wrapped in an ornate pattern.  They sent us images of their wedding stationary that showed the ornate pattern and we worked together to create the matching gobo monogram design. The “golden yellow” uplighting color was selected to provide a dramatic effect, but still soft enough to match their subtle yet ornate theme.  ...

Just Like My Child (JLMC) 5th Annual Fundraiser Gala

Vivian Glyck’s Just Like My Child foundation held their 5th annual gala fundraiser on Thursday evening, 10/25/12 and it was an affair to remember and a huge success! It was our 3rd year in a row to provide complete Sound, AV and Tech support for the event and after weeks of planning, site visits and production run-throughs, it was a huge success!  Smaller and more intimate than year’s past by design, it was held at Bice Restaurant downtown San Diego. Guests were greeted by a group of African percussionists alongside the Red Carpet...

Step & Repeat Banner for DJ Senar

On October 26th DJ Senar threw a Halloween Party at the Palms Banquet Hall and he wanted to add something a bit personal. I met DJ Senar where he was the DJ at Mariam’s  formal Communion, where I supplied another Step & Repeat Banner. DJ Senar loved the idea so much that he wanted a custom designed Step & Repeat Banner for his own Happy “Chaldoween” Halloween Party. We helped by first designing  a custom logo for the party, and then designed and printed the banner.  We also supplied the Red Carpet and Red Rope Entry...

Katie & Sean’s La Jolla Shores Hotel Beach Wedding Lighting

Katie & Sean had a beautiful wedding on the beach just behind the La Jolla Shores Hotel.  The beach setting was lovely, and the fact that it took place on the very spot he proposed to her set the tone for a truly memorable wedding. We were honored to provide Market Lighting with Chinese Lanterns for the wedding.  A large tent was set up in the sand for dinner on the shoreline of the beach, and the hanging Market Lighting with the lanterns worked extremely well to carry over the mood from the ceremony and mimic the glow from the table...

It was a large wedding which was evident by the packed house once inside. David & Janelle enjoyed their first dance as husband and wife under the spotlight of their initials in light created by the custom gobo monogram that we...
