Brigid and Jeremy got married and had their entire wedding at the magnificent Estancia La Jolla Resort and Spa. It was a great celebration from beginning to end! I was honored to help provide DJ/MC and Lighting services and at the end of the day, to have been part of a big party!!

The ceremony started on the hottest day on record for much of San Diego – weather apps were showing 100+ temps and mine pulled up 102 for La Jolla at 3pm . . the ceremony started at 4:15pm. The wedding ceremony was held on the Olive Lawn and everyone handled the sun and heat rather well (though every single water/drink pitcher set out for guests was completely empty by the start). After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour at the Hacienda Lawn on the other side of the Estancia property.

We did an opening dance set and had the floor packed in about 30sec.

We then moved guests inside for dinner in the Grande Room. The amber uplighting was perfect and really highlighted an already beautiful room! Brigid and Jeremy did their first dance and we changed it up a bit by having an open dance set for all guests – starting by inviting all guests to join Brigid and Jeremy to finish off their song. Those are always a big hit and we had the floor completely full within about 30sec.

Dinner followed and we finished with toasts/speeches which were accompanied by a video slide show. The rest of the night was party time and everyone did so all they way up to the end! At 7 hours from start of ceremony to end of reception, it was on the longer side for many weddings, but the guests didn’t notice one bit . . . even with the heat earlier in the day. They could have gone another hour!!!
