Over a dozen chefs and restaurants were impressing the guests
It was our 2nd year in a row working with Just Like My Child, a wonderful organization that provides services and awareness to needing countries in Africa, in putting on their 5th annual “gala” fundraiser, titled “A Hand Up” at the historic El Cortez Don Room in downtown San Diego.
Guest were treated to a dozen food stations and two bars offering the best in San Diego’s food and drink on both the outdoor terrace/patio and inside the Don Room. The formal program inside included heart warming speeches, lively auctions and drawings and the keynote speaker, Jared Cohen – Author, Speaker, Global Visionary – A senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations and director of Google Ideas.

Turning into a 3 day affair including a day of setup, event day and a half day to strike, It was great to work again with MBK Associates and Kathi, Joe and their staff at El Cortez, where I have personally worked dozen or so weddings over my career!
