Charlene celebrated her 8oth birthday at the UPSES Portuguese Hall in San Diego, California, and we provided DJ/MC services, event lighting, a custom Gobo projection, and a fun open air photobooth!
Guests arrived to a red carpet photo booth experience, complete with fun props and a professional photographer. This got everyone in the party mood right from the get-go! We had unlimited prints available to attendees, and the photos were customized with a banner featuring the details of the event. From there, guests moved on to enjoy the delicious cocktails!
We provided jazz and big band music during the cocktail hour, and then turned the floor over to Char’s granddaughter, Riley. She presented a birthday dance to her grandmother, which kicked off dinner and desserts. A spectacular 17 piece band performed their special rendition of the traditional Happy Birthday song. Char didn’t just enjoy the show, though… her dance group, The Prime Time Steppers, did their own performance!
DJ Blake led the group in a champagne toast, and guests viewed a DVD celebrating the guest of honor. Later on, the dance floor was busy as DJ 
Blake presented a variety of tunes for everyone to boogie down to! Colorful uplighting and dancefloor lighting added excitement, along with the Gobo projection. Char’s daughter Cyndie worked with us to create the design, which wished a happy birthday to “The Lady of 80”. Another unique touch involved the red clown noses that Char had everyone wear for a big group picture. Altogether it was a great night that won’t soon be forgotten.

It wasn’t a wedding, but it felt like one! I hired Blake and Pro Motion Entertainment for my mom’s 80th birthday celebration and I was so glad I did! Blake took photos from the beginning of the party until the end, MC’d the entire event and helped the party flow smoothly. We also had a photo booth which everyone loved! Blake also provided DJ services and lighting. Everyone at the party raved at how great everything looked and how much fun they had at the party. I would HIGHLY recommend Blake for any event!
