Wash & Fill Lighting
Wash lighting is just as it sounds - to "wash" light and
color onto a particular area. By using washes of color,
this effect will really help set an overall mood and tone to
your event. They can be set to a static color, or can by
synchronized and scan through different colors.
- Uses color to set the mood / tone
- Coordinating, integrating and enhancing the overall feel
of your event
- Used where permanent lighting is not installed

Fill lighting used to light up a wedding at a private residence.
Without it, guests wouldn't be able to see much.
Fill Lighting
It's simple - you want your guests to see what they're doing.
Fill lighting can accommodate this most simple requirement. They
are almost required at some venues that do not have lighting
systems - most common with private residences.

Fill lighting is a great way to "fill" or "wash" color(s) to
help set the mood/tone of your event.
How is it done?
Wash and Fill Lighting effects are accomplished by using
"light trees" which are an arrangement of light fixtures mounted
on a large stand / truss system. They are usually raised
high into the air (8-10ft) to get above guests point of view and
allow the light to "wash" or "fill" over the top of your guests
or arrangement.

Wash & Fill lighting are done most commonly with "light
trees" that are raised up high.
