Music

I have a music library of over 17,000 songs and always building my music database.  Many ask how choosing the music works:
  • You can Pick Songs (Yes, I allow you to do that - it's your event)
  • I will help you pick songs (If you would like assistance)
  • I will pick songs for you (It is what we DJ's do, ya know :)
  • You can even bring your own music/songs.

During the planning time, you will have full access to my music list well in advance and I can also assist you in deciding an appropriate selection of music.  Also, you can provide me with any particular music ahead of time, on CD Rom or Data (MP3) format.

Similarly, and more importantly, if there are particular songs, styles that you don't care for, or activities such as the chicken dance, I will not play them. You have as much control over my play lists and music styles as you are comfortable with.  My music selection includes, but not limited to (and in no particular order):

  • Pop/Top 40
  • 70s, 80s, 90s
  • Disco
  • Hip-Hop and R&B
  • Chill, Lounge, Eclectic
  • Latin, Hispanic
  • Oldies
  • Rock-n-Roll
  • Dance/Club/Techno
  • Jazz / Standards
  • Blues
  • Big Band & Swing
  • Flamenco

Unless requested, I generally play ONLY popular, known music selections.  Regardless of era or genre, I generally stick with well known songs and sets.  I will never play anything that is underground, thuggy, left of center, or otherwise not of a popular nature.  I do not care for guests looking into thin air, scratching their head asking "what kind of crap is this?!" and I assume you feel the same.

Also, all of the songs that I play are clean, "radio" edits.  Please note, that I do have alot of music that does contain explicit lyrics but unless specifically requested (by you, or someone you allow) I will not play it.
