Olivia and Shawn tied the knot and held their wedding at the San Diego Botanic Gardens. This was a special one for both wifey Linnea and I as they are friends of ours. Linnea helped coordinate and we’ve been planning this one for months!! We helped Olivia’s brother’s a few years back, Chuck & Kristen’s Wedding at the Dana a few years back so it was great to see everyone again.
The wedding ceremony was held in the Walled Garden and Cocktail Hour was up in the Herb Garden. Following, we moved down to the Lawn Garden for Dinner and Dancing. It was a lively crowd as the dancefloor filled up before dinner was over – so we ran with it and we ended up dancing until Cake Cutting and then sat back down for the formal toasts and speeches. (It was a great “change of pace” compared to many weddings where the toasts are during or at the end of dinner.)
The grounds were beautiful! All of the vendors were great to work with. The Market Lighting was perfect and really set the stage! The music was extra groovy, if I may say so myself and everyone danced their butts off! The only problem with the wedding is that it ended too soon! Everyone had a blast and Olivia and Shawn were more than thrilled with how everything came out!
Music List
The night was full of great music from classic Motown and Soul to the latest Pop and Top 40 . . along with the most requested song of the summer, “Blurred Lines”.
